Keith Meyers, beloved husband and father, passed away on February 22, 2026 at the age of 66.
Keith was devoted to his family, which he defined very broadly. He was happiest spending time with his girls and wife, but also included cousins, in-laws, and friends as those he considered closest to him. He spent countless hours planning vacations shared by those he loved. While many of these trips were dedicated to his fascination with Civil War battlefields, he made sure to include events that would appeal to each member of the party. Keith was extremely generous with his time, his resources, and his love.
Keith had a love of education and history, earning many degrees over the years. His primary love was history, but his interest in computers led to his long career working for and consulting with the government. He took great pride in the years he served as a US Marine. He was very active in Congregation Shaare Tikvah, where he frequently led services, even though he could not carry a tune, and shared the dvars that he wrote. His participation in the congregation led to him joining the FJMC.
Keith lived a loud and joyous life. He enjoyed his own sense of humor unapologetically, took great joy in watching classic television and movies, and shared his encyclopedic knowledge of obscure facts with friends and family. He loved to share and talk about sports stats, trivia, and maps.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, Bernie and Kay Meyers, and father-in-law, Norman Brand, as well as extended family and friends. He leaves behind his wife, Jo Ann, his daughters, Becca and Brenda, siblings Andrea (Alan Jacobson) and Lester (Debbie), nephew and niece Scott and Michelle, mother-in-law Mim, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ellen Brand and Peter Checkett, and the many relatives and friends who will mourn his absence. Those wishing to honor Keith may make donations to Congregation Shaare Tikvah.
