Kelly Anne Lawrence

Kelly Anne Lawrence (nee Ferguson) passed away unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 while making a Caesar salad. Croutons are still being held for questioning but at this time, no suspicious crumbs have been found.

Kelly was born in Columbia, Maryland on March 11, 1978.

She is survived by her Mother Johanna (Mader) Ferguson of Land O Lakes, FL, Aunt Trease Mader of Portland, ME, Uncle Vernon Mader of Tarpon Springs, FL., Aunt Robin (Mader) Fulton and Uncle Stan Fulton of Mesa, AZ., Uncle Donald Ferguson Jr. of Brighton, MA., loving cousins Pauline, John, Misty, Justin, and Colin and several close friends who were her 'chosen family'.
She was predeceased by her Father Thomas J. Ferguson of Boxford, MA, her Brother Evan Thomas Ferguson of Worcester, MA, and her partner Alexander Roth of Portland, ME.

Kelly was a true original and someone you didn't forget.
She loved her family and friends more than anything else in the world... except maybe cold Vodka, room temperature vodka, watching Dateline and 20/20, playing (and winning) many kinds of board games, nurturing her many beautiful plants and listening to her favorite music. Kelly was a talented musician who played electric bass and classical piano and was also an avid swimmer.

She accepted people for who they were and made many connections. She was incredibly caring, smart and funny. She will be missed more than she could ever know.

A celebration of her life is being held this Wednesday, March 11th in honor of her birthday from 5-7 PM at Blackstone's in Portland. Another celebration will be held in the early spring, details will be posted on her Legacy page.
