After a long battle of declining health with his loving wife, Diana M. Carfi, caring for him and by his side, Kenneth (Kenny) Roy Ragsdale of Largo, FL, passed peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026. Kenny was born on July 26, 1948, in Benton Harbor, MI, and is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Helen Ragsdale.
Kenny was a man of great valor, courage, and loyalty. Whether to his family or country, a Purple Heart recipient, he served with loving kindness and forgiveness. His passion for classic cars, Notre Dame Football, and sunbathing in his pool was palpable. He had a zest for life and spirit that uplifted any room he entered. His mission was one of love, compassion, and conviction.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Diana M. Carfi, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Ragsdale. He is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law: Kimberly Nadas, husband Michael Nadas; Heather Demeter, husband Jason Demeter; and Jennifer Mammolenti, husband Rocco Mammolenti. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren: Ashlee Heirman, Spencer Heirman, Shannon Heirman, Alexis Nethercutt, Hannah Hack, Rocco Mammolenti Jr., Liliana Mammolenti, Julia Mammolenti, Lina Mammolenti, Maria Mammolenti, and his three great-grandchildren: Kaine Nethercutt, Beau Nethercutt, and Porter Nethercutt. He also leaves behind three stepchildren: Desmond Carfi, wife Carla Carfi, Michael Carfi, wife Amber Carfi, and Ashley Kildow, as well as seven step-grandchildren: Sarah Carfi, Paris Carfi, Alex Carfi, Daniel Carfi, Eli Carfi, Ethan Carfi, and Samantha Carfi.
Kenny's spirit for living a purposeful life of service and his fun-loving sense of humor will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched, whether friends, family, or fellow service members.
