It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Kenneth Lamar Lowe. (Kenny) Though words cannot fully express the sorrow felt by those who knew and cherished him, we honor the legacy of a remarkable life and the lasting impact he made on everyone around him.

Life and Legacy

Kenny was born on April 18, 1954, in Birmingham, Alabama. He departed this earth on September 22, 2025.
Kenny was a proud graduate of Silver Creek High School in San Jose, California. He went on to serve his country with honor as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service, he continued his education while beginning a successful career with the Santa Clara County Transportation Authority.
In the 1980's Kenny relocated to San Diego where he dedicated his time and talent to the Urban League, contributing to his lifelong commitment to community service. Kenny was a man of remarkable intellect and curiosity. Self-taught in many of his passions, including music and language. He had a deep love for music and songwriting. He mastered playing the guitar and several other musical instruments. His gift for language was equally impressive, driven by a thirst for knowledge and to connect with the world around, he taught himself several languages.

In Remembrance

Throughout his life, Kenny embraced new challenges with courage and optimism. He will be remembered for his creativity, intelligence, and kindness. His love of life, learning, music, and people touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed and forever cherished.

Kenny is survived by siblings, Alex Lowe ( Gail), Michael Lowe (Vanessa) Diane Lowe-Epps (David) Terrel Lowe, Debra Lowe-Hutto (Geoffery), nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends in San Diego, California.
