Kenneth G Salaga

1943 - 2025

Kenneth Salaga, born on August 1, 1943, in Trenton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, in Mount Holly, New Jersey. He was surrounded by love in his final moments, with his wife Barbara, daughter Jennifer and her husband Chris, and grandchildren Cole, Logan, and Mackenzi by his side.

Known affectionately as "Poppy," Ken found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. Whether taking walks, playing kitchen games, or baking cookies—especially during the Christmas season—he treasured every shared moment. His presence brought warmth and joy to family gatherings, just as his infectious smile and gentle spirit brightened the lives of everyone around him. Ken gave the very best hugs—those comforting, unforgettable embraces that said more than words ever could.

Ken had a deep love for being out on the water. He cherished time aboard his boats and delighted in fishing, especially when teaching his grandchildren how to cast a line. His passion for trains also stood out; he built a train table in the garage for his oldest grandchildren, creating a beloved tradition of watching the trains together. The trains were handed down to his youngest grandson so that he and his dad could delight in the cherished memories.

Gifted with hands that could fix just about anything, Ken enjoyed tackling projects big and small, always eager to help family, friends, or anyone who needed a hand. Food was another way he expressed his love. He often cooked from his mother Katherine's recipes, preserving her memory while making new ones with his family. His ability to connect with others was remarkable—he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone about anything.

Ken is remembered with love by his wife, Barbara Salaga; his daughter Jennifer Cerchiaro and her husband Christopher, along with their children Cole, Logan, and Mackenzi; his son Robert Salaga and his wife Sarah, and their son Liam. He is also remembered by his sister Bobbie; his brother Neil; his nephew Robert; his sister-in-law Kathy; his brother-in-law Tom and their families; and his son Neil Salaga and family.

He joins in peace his parents Katherine and Joe, and his sister Evelyn. Also reunited with him are Prince, Baron, Duffy, Rocco, Max, and Rowdy—his beloved four-legged companions who brought him joy throughout his life.

May Ken's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and joy to all who recall his enduring love, laughter, and the warmth he shared so generously. Ken requested a service not be had.
