In Loving Memory of Kevin Barber
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kevin Scott Richard Barber on Wednesday, January 21st, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on November 2, 1958 - Kevin leaves behind his devoted and loving wife, Roberta Corum Barber, whose steadfast love meant the world to him. He is also survived by his dedicated step-son and full-time caregiver, Kevin Hunter, whose compassion and constant presence brought Kevin comfort and dignity in his final days.
Kevin's sister, Kristy and her husband, Peter, along with Kevin's childhood best friend, Larry Mason, sat faithfully by his side for hours, a testament to the deep bonds of family and friendship he cherished throughout his life.
Though life's circumstances sometimes created distance, Kevin always carried deep love in his heart for his children: Cherish Barber (and his 3 granddaughters: Adaleia, Mila & Ellie Mae), Dustin Barber, and Marlaina Barber. His love for them never wavered.
One of six children, Kevin is also survived by his siblings Kathleen (Charles) Werder, Stephen Barber and Kristy Juliano and was proceeded in death by siblings Bruce & Shawn Barber and parents Bill (Willard) Barber and Margaret Ann Meyer. Kevin will be deeply missed by Sharlene Barber (her children Nathan & Lydia), Kiera & Ian Garrone (and their daughters Adysen & Ella), Rechael Barber, Keri Duffy, Jeffery & Kristopher Werder and many other nieces and nephews, whose lives were touched by his presence.
Kevin loved deeply and fully. Those who knew him will remember his heart, his loyalty, his humor, and the enduring love he held for his family and friends. His memory will live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
The family will host a memorial at Blue Rock Springs in Vallejo later this spring when the weather is it bit nicer.
