Kevin James English, aged 69, of Bozeman, Montana passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17. He was a cherished Father, Grandfather, Sibling, Uncle, and Friend.
Kevin was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 7th, 1956. His love of mountains and passion for skiing brought him westward, eventually settling in Bozeman. Kevin became known in the community for his willingness to help others without hesitation or complaint. He was a constant presence in the school system and in youth sports. As a volunteer teacher, he spread his love of math and science to the children of Bozeman. On soccer and baseball fields, his strong character exemplified the spirit of sports.
Kevin will be remembered for his generosity, for doing what was right despite personal cost, for helping however he could, and for being there even when it meant crossing oceans, which he often did. Kevin's strong moral compass is sure to keep his spirit in everlasting peace. He is survived by his sons, Matthew (Angela) and Tomas (Sherri); grandchildren, Irene, Leyla, and Cedric; siblings, Anne, Tim, Maureen and Brian; and friends around the world.
A memorial and celebration of Kevin's life will be held in the Weaver Room at the Emerson Cultural Center on Sunday, February 15th from 2:00-4:00 pm. The family invites those who wish to attend, say goodbyes, and share in a celebration of the good life Kevin lived.
