Kevin Rennert

1959 - 2026

Kevin Raymond Rennert, 66, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born on May 6, 1959, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Kevin lived a life full of passion, faith, and dedication to his family and community.

Kevin grew up in Oshkosh and spent much of his life as a commercial painter. He took immense pride in his craft, leaving his mark on countless homes and businesses throughout the Fox Cities. His work was not just a profession but a testament to his commitment to excellence and his love for creating something lasting.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Kevin served his country with honor and carried the spirit of an eagle throughout his life. His love for his country was evident to all who knew him.

Kevin's life was enriched by many passions. He grew up immersed in sports—baseball being at the forefront—with football and golf adding their own unique flavors to his world. He also enjoyed playing cards, chess, and cribbage with family and friends. Known for his vibrant personality, Kevin filled every room he entered with laughter, music, art, jokes, and fun facts. Silence was never an option in his presence; he brought joy wherever he went.

Above all else, Kevin's faith in Jesus Christ defined him. He spoke openly about his love for God to anyone who would listen. His unwavering belief was a cornerstone of his life and a source of strength for those around him.

Kevin is survived by his four children: Lawrence J. Rennert (L.J.), Shanna M. Rennert, Nathaneal K. Rennert, and Jacob J. U. Rennert; five grandchildren: Cameron E. Jaimez, Natalie A. Rennert, Arlo I. Whitty, Emma A. Rennert, and Alec V. P. Rennert; his mother Shirley M. Rennert; and siblings Jeffery D. Rennert and Melissa R. Mezick.

He was preceded in death by his father Laurence H. "Dutch" Rennert; brother Greggory S. Rennert; and grandson Theodore J. Kok.

Kevin's passing came somewhat suddenly but allowed time for loved ones to be by his side—a blessing for which they are deeply grateful. His mother fondly referred to him as "Kevin from heaven" throughout his life; now she lovingly says "Kevin in heaven."

Thank you, God, for blessing us with such a kindhearted and wonderful man whose memory will forever bring comfort to those who knew him.

May Kevin's legacy of faith, love, and laughter continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey through life.
