Kevin Michael Stokes passed away on December 28, 2025, surrounded by family who loved him deeply. Born on August 9, 1970, Kevin grew up in Lake Wales, Florida, where he built a life filled with curiosity, humor, and an unmistakable spark that made him unforgettable.
He is survived by his parents, Jack C. and Judy C. Stokes, and by his sisters, Karmon Stevens and Kellie Curlee, all of Lake Wales; and by his beloved Anna. Kevin was a proud uncle to his three nieces — Raelyn Curlee of Hockessin, Delaware; Raquel Curlee of Daytona Beach, Florida; and Raina Curlee of Lakeland, Florida
- each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Kevin was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Todd Stevens, whose memory remained close to Kevin's heart.
Kevin worked as an electrician, a trade that suited his sharp mind and ability to figure out how things worked. Outside of work, he was a passionate beekeeper — tending to hives, sharing honey, and teaching others about the magic and importance of bees. It was one of the many ways he connected with the world around him.
What people will remember most about Kevin is his laughter - big, honest, and often contagious — along with his wit, his intelligence, and the unmistakable presence he brought into a room. He loved deeply and quietly. He listened more than he talked. He cared in ways that mattered.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held lakeside on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 3:00 PM

A food reception will follow, along with an honorary toast in Kevin's memory. Attire is conservative casual.
