Kimberly Shenning Adams, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love she spent a lifetime pouring into others.
Born Kimberly Allen, she lived her life in Brandon, Florida, riding horses, frequenting the nearby beaches, and growing her family.
Kimberly was, above all else, a mother. She raised six children, and by every measure, they were her greatest accomplishment and her deepest joy.
She was a woman of boundless knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit, building businesses and chasing new ventures with the same enthusiasm she brought to everything she loved. Over the years she owned and operated a nail salon in Apollo Beach, worked in insurance, served as a licensed real estate agent, and brought her passion for the arts to families across the area as the owner of ballroom dance studios in both Sun City Center and Brandon. She also spent time behind the wheel, driving school buses and limousines.
When her businesses served their purpose and her children had grown, Kimberly found new pleasures in the simple things of life. She tended her flower garden and kept her chickens with newfound enthusiasm. Surprising even herself, she became a devoted movie buff in her later years, discovering a love she never knew she had. She especially treasured time spent traveling by to visit her girls in GA and NC.
Through it all, her faith remained her firm foundation—she was a bold and sincere believer in God, never shy about professing what she knew to be true.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Allen. She is survived by her six children: Courtney Wardy, Cassandra Icenhour, Cameron, Taylor, Trent, and Tori Adams; her two grandchildren, Dominic (17) and Cadynce (13) Wardy; and her brothers Jeff Allen (Lisa) and Clint Allen (Ashley).
To say she will be missed is a gross understatement. A life taken too soon by earthly measures, but not too soon by heavenly measures.
