Kristen R Davis

Kris passed away February 7th of this year after almost a decade of struggle with early onset frontal temporal dementia. It’s sad that she didn’t get to enjoy her retirement years but also a relief that she has peace and release from the grips of a horrible disease. They call it “the long goodbye” and it really is.
She loved her friends and chi omega sorority sisters, her dogs, the beach, the color blue and her niece and nephews. She volunteered with dog rescue organizations and was a CASA mentor for several years. Hiking in the Santa Cruz hills was one of her favorite activities. She grew up in Santa Clara Ca. and Redmond Wa. and lived in Long Beach and Santa Cruz Ca. as an adult. In 1980 she graduated from Washington State University, the same year that Mt. St. Helens blew up and covered the school in ash. She had a successful career in the telecommunications industry, working for GTE, Jive Technology and other major network providers. A talented artist, she painted amazing seascapes, landscapes and florals that leave a lasting legacy. She was married to Lee William for several years.
She is preceded in death by our mom Gale Griffith Davis and dad Floyd W. Davis, nephew Drew Gordon and her best friends Mary Hoagland and John LeCrone.
