Krzysztof "Kris" Nowicki

Krzysztof "Kris" Nowicki, (formerly of Johnston, RI) passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. He was 66 years old.

Born in Wegorzewo, Poland on July 25, 1959, he immigrated to the US with his family at the age of 4. Kris graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and furthered his studies at Rhode Island Community College.

He was a lifelong car enthusiast whose passion for automobiles shaped both his personal interests and professional life. Kris spent the majority of his career at Bald Hill Dodge in Warwick, where he worked alongside colleagues, he considered close friends. He took pride in helping hundreds of customers over the years. He passed his enthusiasm to his sons and lovingly taught them how to maintain their own vehicles.

Over the years Kris enjoyed frequent trips to Florida with his family, a tradition his daughter continues with his grandchildren. The love of the warm weather led to him to move to Florida in 2003 where he and Maggie enjoyed weekly trips to the beach.

Kris leaves behind the love of his life, his devoted wife of 43 years, Maria "Maggie" Nowicki; his daughter, Melissa (Brandon) Skidd of Weston, CT; his sons, Christopher (Jeanette) Nowicki of Coconut Creek, FL and Justin Nowicki of Orlando, FL; and his cherished grandchildren, Olivia & Liam Skidd. He also leaves behind siblings Teresa Stanczyk of Johnston, RI, Frank (Teresa) of Winter Springs, FL. and Elizabeth (Donald) of Cranston, RI. And numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Taduesz and Czeslawa Nowicki.

Kris's legacy lives on through the family he loved deeply and the countless lives he touched through his warmth and great sense of humor. Visitation will be held this Saturday January 24th from 9-12:30 pm at Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home 168 Academy Ave in Providence, RI. Funeral Service will be held directly after, beginning at 01:00 PM at St. Adalbert's Church at 866 Atwells Avenue in Providence, RI where he served as an altar boy in his youth. Burial will follow at St. Ann's Cemetery in Cranston, RI.
