Landon Michael Eley was born on March 19, 1987, in Montgomery, Alabama, and went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2026.
Landon was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose life was marked by love, laughter, and a kindness that touched everyone he met. He is survived by his beloved wife, Samantha Woolard Eley, with whom he recently celebrated eight wonderful years of marriage, and his two sons, Banks (5) and James (3), who were the greatest joys of his life.
Landon could talk to anyone, and when he did, he made you feel like you were the only person in the room. He was funny, incredibly smart, and had a kindness that made people naturally gravitate toward him. Being around him left people feeling seen, welcomed, and valued, which is why he was so deeply loved.
A graduate of Saint James School, Landon earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Alabama and his law degree from Cumberland School of Law. He attended Saint James Church and practiced as an attorney at the Vance Law Firm. He was an active member of the Montgomery County Bar Association and served with the Montgomery Young Lawyers Association and the Alabama Young Lawyers Association. He was also a member of Wynlakes Golf and Country Club, where he enjoyed time on the course.
Landon loved music, golf, and could quote just about any movie at the perfect moment. He was a passionate fan of Alabama football and basketball, always cheering on the Crimson Tide. He shared a lifelong bond with his brothers, filled with competition, laughter, and deep love. Above all, Landon cherished being a father, spending time with his boys, practicing baseball, and shooting basketball.
He is survived by his parents, Lisa and Mike Eley; his in-laws, Lisa and Paul Woolard; his brothers, Chase (Sara), Parker (Darby), and Tyson; his brother-in-law, Wesley (Alex) Woolard; and his beloved nephews, Fred, Walker, Charlie, and Bennett. He is also survived by his grandparents, Elizabeth and James Motes, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that Landon is now in Heaven, whole and at rest, and that we will see him again. His life was a gift, and his legacy of love will live on in all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on April 24, 2026, at Saint James Church, 9045 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, AL.
