Larry Philip Ward

Larry Philip Ward, 92, of Modesto, California, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2026.

Born March 12, 1933, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, Larry was raised through hardship and learned early the value of hard work and faith. Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses at age 14, his faith remained central throughout his life.

Larry married Naomi Froberg on May 7, 1955, and they celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2025. A licensed general contractor since 1961, Larry built homes and commercial projects throughout Modesto and the Groveland area and was known for his craftsmanship and innovation. He also volunteered extensively on Kingdom Hall construction projects.

Larry served for decades as an elder in his congregation and was well known for his generosity, love of Bible teaching, and enthusiasm for discussing prophecy.

He is survived by his wife Naomi; children Deborah, Joel, and Aaron; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

A virtual memorial service will be held February 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM PST. Burial will be private.
