Laura Lisle Sanner

Laura Sanner peacefully entered eternal life on January 10, 2026. Born in Wichita Falls, October 20,1935, to Floyd Lisle and Laura Wisdom, she discovered her love for God through her church and family, and her love for people, making many lifelong friendships. At age 7 she moved to Fort Worth where her “daddy” became a chemistry professor at TCU. Here she developed her athletic skills, playing tennis at school and football with the boys on the street. As she matured, she was able to express her great love of music, through both singing and the violin. She met the love of her life, Duane, at Sunday School. They were married shortly after her graduation from TCU with a degree in music education. The new couple soon settled in Irving where they would live for the next 63 years. Here they raised their family of four children. Laura was able to pursue her passion for singing by leading the Irving Women’s Choral Club, various church choirs, leading roles in numerous performances of Irving Community Theatre, and finally by serving on the Irving Arts Board. Laura and Duane were active in many churches throughout their years in Irving. (That’s how they got to know so many people!) After Duane’s passing in 2021, Laura moved to Cibolo in 2023, where she passed away. Laura is survived by her four children and their spouses; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She is truly missed by all who were touched by her life. Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the Brooks of Cibolo. Laura donated her body to the Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
