Lauren Kay Hanson

Lauren Kay Hanson (née Jansic), 80, of Warrensville Heights, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026.

Born on May 20, 1945, Lauren lived a life rooted in creativity, independence, and deep spiritual conviction. A lifelong and devoted member of the Pagan community, she embraced her beliefs with intention and reverence for nature.

Lauren was preceded in death by her partner, Karl Hanson; her mother, Ruth (Dunlap) Yoshizawa; and her stepfather, Saburo "Sam" Yoshizawa.

She is survived by her son, Aaron Boalt; her daughter-in-law, Jessica Boalt; and her grandson, Alex Boalt. She also leaves behind friends.

Lauren was a skilled artist and seamstress and a longtime lover of animals. She dedicated much of her time to her creative work and personal interests.

Lauren will be honored by her Pagan community in a private ceremony.
