Lawrence Reisman

1934 - 2025

Lawrence "Larry" Reisman, 90, of Forest Hills, New York, passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2025. Born on December 16, 1934, at Mount Eden Hospital in the Bronx, he was the son of Essie (Dix) and Benjamin Reisman and brother to Sheila Ezratty.

Larry proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career in the textile industry. Graduate of Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science, he served as President and CEO of Scientific Textiles Incorporated and later worked as a consultant for Coats & Clark. Known for his leadership and knowledge of his field, he earned the respect of colleagues and partners throughout the industry.

A passionate billiards player, Larry spent decades engaged in the sport he loved. He was a devoted competitor and a valued presence within the billiards community, where he formed many lasting friendships and contributed meaningfully to the game.

Larry was also deeply committed to his community. He served for many years on the board of his co-op, where he played an important role in the wellbeing, stability, and day-to-day life of the building he took such pride in.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of more than 30 years, Zizi Haseeb, who cared for him with extraordinary devotion.

Father to Bonnie Fear (George), Todd Reisman (Linda), Alyson Reisman (predeceased), Steven Reisman (Liz), Sandra Papachristopolous (Spiro).

Grandfather to Gregory, Rebecca, Nicole, Hayden, Chase, Noah (predeceased), Samuel, Rachel, Pete, and Eva.

Uncle to Sim (Ian) and Gina (Eric)

Larry's family would also like to acknowledge Brian Volpe, his closest friend and steadfast medical advocate, whose support and care were a source of strength throughout Larry's later years.

Larry will be remembered for his sharp mind, love of family, and steady presence. His legacy lives on in the people he loved, the communities he strengthened, and the many lives he touched.

Burial will be held on December 4, 2025 at Riverside Cemetery in Saddlebrook, New Jersey at 12:00PM.
