Leon Michael "Mick" Allen passed from this world on Monday, December 15th, 2025. He was born to Leon and Shirley Allen in Melbourne, Australia on November 20th, 1956. Mick grew up in Melbourne as one of eight children, well loved by his parents and sisters. After high school he attended the Melbourne College of Printing and Graphic Arts. After graduation in 1976, he embarked on a career in the paper printing industry that would take him from Australia to the USA and Indonesia.
He eventually settled in Macon GA and found a community of friends that shared his deep love of making music and playing together at parties and gatherings.
He was a handyman by nature. Mick was often tinkering with and fixing cars and boats, and changed career paths from the paper industry to general contracting, focusing on historic home renovations and restorations in Macon.
He loved traveling, sailing in particular, and had great stories from his adventures. He loved a raucous get together and a good joke, exclaiming, "You gotta laugh!"
He would never admit to being lost, always insisting he was "taking the scenic route".
Mick joins his parents Leon and Shirley, and his sister Deanne in the next realm.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters Gayle Brubacher, Kerry Allen, Cheryl Mills, Mandy Taylor, Lisa Allen, Donna Allen, and their families; by his daughters Casey Allen, Dani Allen, Elizabeth Allen, Jessie Allen, and Sarah Grace Allen, by his grandchildren Dallas Taylor, Mia Allen, Leona Allen, Caleigh Bon, Chrystina Bon, Cora Mae Bon, and Brax Bon, and his great grandchildren Nolan Bon, Raelynn Bon, and Grayson Bon.
A celebration of Mick's life will be held December 12th, 2026, location to be determined.
We love you forever Mick
