Leonard R Cobb Jr

Leonard (Len) Cobb passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026 at LCMCF/Suncrest in Lapeer, Michigan at the age of 57. Before his battle with MS, he enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, golfing, riding his motorcycle, and hunting (usually for rabbits with his beagles). He belonged to the Moose Lodge of Munising, the Eagles Club of Cheboygan, and the Shingleton Recreation Club.

Len was stubborn and direct, but also a great listener who fought fiercely for those he cared for. He was a devoted son, a loving dad and uncle, and a proud grandfather who believed his grandchildren could do no wrong. He was also a favorite resident when he moved to Suncrest where he loved talking with the caretakers and staff and winning their cooking contests. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by parents Leonard and Doris, siblings Debbie and Larry, and grandson Damian. He is survived by his brothers Wayne and John, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, of which Eric Cobb and family and Rebecca Adams and family provided loving care before his move to Suncrest. He is also survived by his daughters Andrea Braun and Sandra Johns-Devries who he loved endlessly and his grandchildren Kayden Braun, Allie Johns-Devries, and Tysen Devries-Johns who were the center of his world and spoiled rotten.

Per his wishes, no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers please send donations to LCMCF/Suncrest Nursing Home at 1455 Suncrest Dr., Lapeer, MI 48446. Funds will be used to sponsor an annual cooking contest at the facility in his memory.
