Leslie Jean Hersey

The family of Leslie Jean Hersey (née Kane), 69, announces her passing away on March 18, 2026, in Largo, Florida. She was born on July 15, 1956, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

A proud graduate of MMRHS Class of 1974, Leslie pursued further education at Maria College, Berkshire Community College (BCC), and Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC). As a teenager, she worked as a secretary for Rising Paper Company and other businesses. Later in life, she became a hairstylist at the Clip Shop from 2000 to 2006. She also dedicated herself to healthcare roles as a Nursing Assistant at Fairview Hospital and a Patient Services Technician (PST) at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Leslie's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her loving partner Raymond Kemp; her daughter Amber Hersey; and her sisters Sandra Febbroriello and Susan Kane. She was also a cherished aunt to Lisa Parker; Mark Febbroriello ; Shannon Wellauer DeVirgilio; Brian Keefner; Matthew Chrzanwoski; and Kristin Kane.

She is predeceased by her parents James and Lillian Hubbell Kane; her husband John Hersey; her son Michael Hersey; her brothers Michael and Richard Kane; her sister Sharon Keefner; and her niece Jill Kane Rawlings.

A loyal friend to many, she loved unconditionally and brought joy to those around her.
