Leslie Howard Strunk

Leslie Howard Strunk was born on February 2, 1954 in Lenoir City, TN to Rita and James Strunk. He passed away February 10, 2026, at the age of 72, in West Sacramento. Les was raised in St. Paul, MN after moving there as a young child. In his early twenties he moved to Sacramento, finally settling and making his home in West Sacramento for the last 35 years. He is survived by his wife Carol, his sons Howie, Jim (Maggie) and Chris (Carley), and his grandchildren Cyrus and Charlotte. He also leaves behind three siblings, his brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Les co-owned and successfully ran Tech-Fin Metal Finishing and ABCO Products, and was well known and respected in the metal finishing business. His business acumen was admired not only in the Sacramento area but far beyond its limits. He was a generous man who donated to a multitude of local causes for many years and made life easier for those less fortunate. Les was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan and passed his passion for his team on to his sons

A memorial service celebrating Les' life will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery Chapel, 6509 Fruitridge Road in Sacramento on Friday, March 6, 2026 at noon. All are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers a contribution to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, is appreciated.
