Our beautiful, blue-eyed Liam passed away unexpectedly at the age of 24. His family and friends are devastated and heartbroken by this loss. Precious and beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, Liam loved his family and friends more than anything else in the world. He admired and was particularly proud of his little brother Dylan. Liam was incredibly intelligent, funny, outgoing, big-hearted, and philosophical. Always free-spirited, he rejected traditional norms, customs, and societal standards in favor of his own personal freedom. Inspired by his father at a young age, he was nurtured and raised to have a deep love and connection with art and music, which carried on in his heart. Liam absolutely loved being at the beach with his dad and going to movie and dinner dates with his mom. He understood the nuances of film and delivered engaging critiques. He was an avid gamer and social media user, and he loved to dance and joke around. Liam had a soft spot in his heart for the homeless and was especially patient and gentle with children and animals. To honor Liam’s memory, we encourage everyone to practice a little more patience, kindness, love, and understanding with each other. Liam is survived by his parents Sean McDaniel (partner Tara) and Lynn McDaniel; brother Dylan McDaniel; grandmother Ellen Putnam; aunt Alina Taylor (husband Peter); cousins Miles, Micah, Christian, and Alex; and his other relatives and friends. Liam will live forever in our hearts.
Liam suffered all his adult life from mental illness, bipolar disorder, serious depression, and substance use disorder. Memorial donations may be made in Liam’s name to Drug Awareness Foundation and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
-Nothing of him doth fade.
