November 9, 1942 - April 18, 2026

Linda Kay (Peters) Apple, 83, of Macungie, formerly of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 9, 1942, in Allentown, PA, Linda was the daughter of the late Stanley F. and Arlene (Bernhard) Peters. She grew up in Greenawalds, where she was affectionately known as "Petey."

Linda loved and excelled at dancing and was very active in scouting. A graduate of Whitehall High School, Class of 1960, she was involved in many clubs and activities and continued to cherish her classmates through the planning of her high school reunions throughout the years. She went on to earn her Associate's Degree from the Temple University School of Dental Hygiene, Class of 1962, and began her career in Bethlehem as a dental assistant.

Linda married Charles A. Apple, her beloved husband of 60 years, in August 1965. The couple spent the first two years of their marriage in Tallahassee, FL, where Linda worked as a bookkeeper. Upon returning to the Lehigh Valley to raise their family, she continued her work as a bookkeeper for her father's business, SF Peters Incorporated in Whitehall.

Linda was an active member of Saint John's UCC Fullerton, where she faithfully served on various committees, particularly those focused on visitation and caring for others.

In more recent years, she also served on the social committee at Legacy Oaks in Macungie. She had a love for sports, always following her favorite teams and attending as many of her grandchildren's games and events as possible. Linda was a familiar and friendly presence in the community - often seen out and about, connecting with others and sharing her generous spirit.

Linda had a genuine passion for people, spreading hope and cheer through her many acts of kindness. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, resilience, and warm, selfless spirit of giving, which touched countless friends and family throughout the years.

Linda is survived by her husband Charles; daughters Melinda Marciniak (Steve) and Kerissa Neal (Blaine); grandchildren Mitchell, Peyton & Meredith Marciniak, and Charles, Casey, & Kaytlynn Neal.
