On January 31, 2026, Linda Jane Arnold passed away peacefully after a long battle with complications from diabetes. Linda was a constant source of warmth and light and touched so many lives. She was also a devoted animal lover. and will be deeply missed, but she will never be forgotten.
Linda was born November 16 1951 in Ontario, California to Kenneth and Weslene Axtell. She is survived by her mother, Weslene Axtell, her husband, John Arnold, her daughter, Jolinda (Kiley) Grunstad, 3 granddaughters, Jennie (Tyler) Shimkus, Katelynn Grunstad, Madison Grunstad and her sister Alice Koster . She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Axtell and her brother Kenneth Axtell Jr.
Raised in Ontario California, she graduated from Chaffey High School in 1969 and attended Chaffey College.
On February 7, 1970 she married the love of her life, John Arnold. They made their home in Chino, California.
Linda worked for Chaffey Joint Union High School District for over 30 years. John and Linda spent their retirement years between their cottage on Mullett Lake near Indian River, Michigan and their home in Claremont.
There will be no service and her ashes will be spread at sea Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of your choice.
