At 81 years old, Linda Doting went home to be with Jesus. A few years ago, she was predeceased by her long-time soulmate and husband of 53 years, Gordon. She is survived by three sons and their families.
Born in Tillamook, Oregon, as Linda Louise Johns, she spent the first part of her life in Southern California, where her marriage to Gordon began and where her three sons were born.
Linda spent many years in Colorado and in Idaho, before most recently returning to Southern California.
During these years, she was an active member of The Neighborhood Church, Calvary Chapel Vail Valley, Ten Mile Church, North Coast Calvary and Calvary Chapel Oceanside.
Although she was a musician and a singer and a consummate homemaker, her lasting legacy was her family. Multiple generations of faithful disciples are a testament of her faithful daily prayers and her undying love for her family.
Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 118:24.
