Linda Hope Hendrickson

1943 - 2026

On Monday, April 6, 2026, our beautiful Mother, beloved family member and treasured friend passed away peacefully in her home surrounded in love and warm embraces.

Linda was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Linda was filled with creativity, curiosity, a fierce sense of humor and abundant love for life. As a teenager she moved with her mother Shirley, sisters Pam and Peggy to Riverside, California. It was there she became part of a blended 14 sibling household. Shortly after Linda met and married Albert Villanueva. They had 3 children, Pamela, Lisa and Albert III. She still referred to this as her greatest and most important accomplishment.

She had an impressive 35 year career in the title and escrow industry where she worked in multiple departments, managed branch offices and even owned her own escrow office. As the first woman head engineer, first woman front line title officer and having a woman owned and operated business, she paved the way by example for lady leaders all around her.

She was a true artist who expressed herself through oil and charcoal paintings and even taught classes on the color wheel at her children's elementary school. She had a remarkable eye for fine art, antiques, mid century modern furniture, and fine jewelry. She cherished American history and held a deep love for her country. She enjoyed the quiet creativity of expert knitting, crocheting and candle making. She also loved going to the casino and making the slot machine bells ring. In 1986 Linda married the love of her life, Donald J. Hendrickson. In keeping with blended families she gained 3 more amazing kids. They moved to Lancaster, Ohio in 1995 for a slower pace of life and to be closer to her Mother and Sister Peggy. There they bought 18 acres with a candle cabin and fishing pond. Her creativity and love for nature really shined. In 2003 Linda, was offered a job she couldn't turn down. Making her way back full circle to the company she started with First American Title. Linda and Don moved back across the country to Reno, NV and enjoyed their time together until he passed away in 2005. Shortly after Dons death, Linda moved to her forever home in Riverside, California, where she finished out the last 18 years of her life. In her most recent years, her greatest happiness came from family and friends gathering with her in her beautiful home and around the puzzle table having priceless conversations and making treasured memories for all.
