Linda Suzanne Loeffler Larnerd, of Paradise Valley, Arizona, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on October 19, 2025. She was 78 years old.
Born in Endicott, New York, on December 5, 1946, to Frank and Ila (Cobb) Loeffler, Linda graduated from Vestal High School in 1965, where she was a state champion baton twirler, and from the University of Connecticut in 1969, where she was a proud member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She began her career as an elementary school mathematics teacher, and after several years in the classroom, Linda dedicated herself fully to raising her children. Linda enthusiastically supported her children's activities and sports, volunteering her time and talents to enrich their experiences. In later years, she found immense joy in nurturing and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest pride was her family, and her presence brought laughter and love to every gathering.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Glenn H. Larnerd; her children Kristin (John) Wright of Green Cove Springs, FL, Brian (Sterling) Larnerd of San Jose, CA, and Katie (Ramsey) Davison of Scottsdale, AZ; her cherished grandchildren Tyeler (Shannon), Kiara, Zack, Matthew, Audrey, Kallie, and Max; and great-grandchildren Novah, Kingston, and Beau.
A lifelong animal lover and advocate, Linda supported numerous animal welfare and rescue organizations. Her generous spirit and compassion for all living things defined her life and inspired those around her. She loved to travel, with favorite destinations including Hawaii, San Diego, and the coast of Maine, places where she found joy and serenity.
Linda's legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A private celebration of her life will be held at Kennebunkport, one of her favorite places. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations in Linda's memory be made to an animal welfare charity of your choice. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to North Gardens of Scottsdale and Hospice of the Valley for the loving and compassionate care they provided.
Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
