Linda Rae Martin (née LeBlanc), 78, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, in Burlington, Vermont. Born on March 18, 1947, in St. Albans, Vermont, Linda lived a life rooted in love, family, and faith.

Linda spent her early years in Vermont and attended Spaulding High School in Barre before graduating with the Class of 1966 from Highgate High School in Highgate. During her school years, she was a proud varsity cheerleader, a role that reflected her spirited nature and enthusiasm for life.

After marrying and starting a family, Linda dedicated herself to raising her children as a stay-at-home mom. Once her youngest child began school, she reentered the workforce and held positions at Vestshell Vermont, the Immigration and Naturalization Service Center, and Energizer. Her work ethic and commitment were evident in every role she took on.

Linda's greatest joy came from being a mother and Nana. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Michelle Long (husband David), Stephanie Gerrity (husband Scott), and Krista Harrison (fiancé Brian Gagne). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Nathan, Taylor, Teagan, Savanna, Kyndra, Kyle, Shane, Kayla, Ryan, Paiton, Averi, and Hunter. Her sisters Sandy and Theresa as well as her great- grandchildren. She was also very proud of all her beloved grand-fur babies.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Oscar and Charlotte Courville; parents Elizabeth "Betty" LeBlanc and Laurie LeBlanc; and her uncle and aunt Raymond and Betty Courville.

Linda's Catholic faith was a guiding light throughout her life. A lifelong Catholic, she found strength and comfort in her religion.

Her happiest memories included summers spent at her grandparents' camp on Maquam Shore where she swam endlessly in the lake. She delighted in attending concerts and sporting events for her grandchildren whenever possible. Fall craft fairs with her daughters were treasured traditions—especially when paired with one of her favorite meals from Kentucky Fried Chicken. In earlier years she enjoyed long car rides and evening walks around Swanton. Linda was also an accomplished knitter, crocheter, and seamstress who lovingly created outfits for her children and others close to her heart.

Evenings spent chatting outside with friends from Church Street brought warmth to many summer nights. Her family fondly hopes that heaven is filled with endless supplies of diet soda and Cherry Garcia ice cream—two of Linda's favorite indulgences.

Linda will be remembered as a beloved mother, Nana, sister, and friend whose presence brought comfort to those around her. From all of us girls—you leave a hole with your passing that can never be filled. We all love you so much.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Northwestern Medical Center (NMC) and especially the University of Vermont Medical Center for their compassionate care during Linda's final weeks.

May Linda's memory bring peace to all who knew and loved her.
