Linda Nies

Linda Marie Nies (Boes) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at the age of 65, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 15, 1960, in Livonia, Michigan, and lived a life centered on family, love, and being there for the people who mattered most.
Linda was the loving wife of Jeffrey Nies Sr., and together they shared many years of life and partnership. They raised three children: Jeffrey Nies Jr. (Stephanie Craig), Benjamin Nies (Michelle Scoby) and their daughter Abigail Nies. Linda took great joy in being a mom and was especially proud of her grandchildren, Hattie and Lennox Nies, who brought her endless happiness.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Boes Sr. and Margaret Boes, and sister to Thomas Boes Jr. She was preceded in death by her brother Frank Boes. Linda also leaves behind many cousins, along with extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.
Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, her steady presence, and the love she gave so freely. She also had a special bond with her dog, Elmo, who was a constant companion and a source of joy in her everyday life.
Linda's memory will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
