Linda Lee O'Meara, aged 64, passed away on January 27, 2026, in North Port, Florida. Born on February 17, 1961, Linda was a cherished member of her community and a beloved figure in her family.
Linda's life was profoundly shaped by her love for her husband, Thomas H. O'Meara, whom she met in 2008 and married on July 23, 2011, in Roaming Shores, Ohio. Their marriage was a testament to true partnership and mutual devotion, enriched by the joy of their children and grandchildren. In 2016, Linda and Thomas relocated to Florida, where she reveled in the coastal lifestyle, collecting shark teeth and seashells, and enjoying the warm weather. The couple often traveled back to Ohio to visit family and friends, maintaining strong ties with their roots.
Linda graduated from Jefferson Area School in 1979 and subsequently built a significant career, dedicating 17 years to the Ashtabula County Probate Court and 18 years at Smith & Miller Law Firm. She also served as a Women's Officer at the Jefferson Eagles Club for nine years.
An avid outdoorswoman, Linda was the World Champion in women's archery for the compound bow from 1995 to 1998. Her commitment to the outdoors extended to animal conservation, particularly to rescuing raccoons, which she raised from birth. This passion for wildlife and nature was a legacy she passed on to her children, who are avid outdoorsmen themselves.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas H. O'Meara, her sister Christine Green (Greg), brother John Hammond (Tammy Cotterman), daughter Amanda Milinski (Mike), son Larry Kobella Jr. (Katie), niece Samantha Farrell-Burgoon (Larry), nephew Jeremy Farrell (Kristie), grandchildren Mackinze Milinski, Mason Milinski, Dakota Kobella, Emerson Nemerovsky. Patricia O'Meara, Christine O'Meara, Dennis O'Meara, Crystal Gilliland (Richard), David O'Meara, Nicole O'Meara, Chace O'Meara, Chance O'Meara. grandchildren Taytum Miller, Trenton Gilliland, Richard Gilliland, Clayton Gilliland, Madiline O'Meara, Blake O'Meara, Zain Miller, Zavier Miller, great-nephew Logan Farrell, Jaxson Farrell, and great-niece Peyton Farrell.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria (Good) and Leroy James Hammond, her niece Meagan Farrell, Thomas O'Meara Sr., and her grandparents Clarence and Dorthy Hammond, and Richard and Laura Good.
