Linda Rochelle Roberts was born on April 29, 1965, in Harlem, New York, to the late Kenneth Theodore Roberts and Marie Del-Rio Roberts. She peacefully departed this life on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the age of 55.
Linda received her education at Walt Whitman High School in Huntington, New York, and dedicated her professional life to Home Health Care, where she served others with compassion and commitment.
She was the proud and devoted mother of one daughter, Shaquana Monique Roberts-Kendall, and the loving grandmother of three cherished grandchildren—Jayden, Daniel, and Kylar—whom she loved beyond measure.
Linda was a woman of many talents. She was an exceptional cook who truly loved food and found joy in feeding others. A loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, she was known for her warmth, generosity, and open heart. She enjoyed watching scary movies, listening to good music, and dancing. A true fighter, Linda often shared powerful testimonies of her victories and the lessons she learned along the way. She had a strong will to live, dreams for the future, and plans for celebrations yet to come.
Linda had a big heart and a strong sense of justice—she could not tolerate bullying or injustice of any kind. She was well known for opening her home to those in need and ensuring that no one ever left hungry.
Linda leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving mother; her daughter; her three grandchildren; her son-in-law, Daniel; her brother, Roland Barnes; and her four sisters, Asia Roberts, Twanda Hembrick, Tamiko Gordon, and Rasheda Roberts. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Steven Hembrick; six nieces—Nakia, India, Ivy, Asia, Kendaza, and Mahogany; four nephews—Michael, Armani, Nasonn, and Marshall; two aunts, Sidney Barnes and Martha Heartfield; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family, and loving friends.
Linda Rochelle Roberts will forever remain in our hearts, remembered for her strength, love, generosity, and unwavering spirit.
