It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Linda Jean (Pennington) Willoughby on November 16, 2025, in Virginia. She was born in New York on March 3, 1957, and moved to Maryland when she was 5 years old.
Linda loved life, delighting in every season, holiday, and special occasion. She cherished family above all else and created a home where everyone felt welcome. She had a talent for hosting and celebrating life by setting a beautiful table for family and her large circle of friends. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and had a lifelong affection for animals, especially her beloved Daisy.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John Willoughby, and her loving sister, Barbara Harvey. Linda was a proud and devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews, who brought her endless joy and pride.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held in the Spring of 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor her beautiful spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the following charities: Esophageal Cancer Action Network (ECAN) or the Seacrest Wolf Preserve.
Linda's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though deeply missed, her contagious spirit will live on forever in the lives she touched.
