Linda C. Zizzamia, age 75, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Coventry, Connecticut, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Tidewell Hospice in Venice, Florida, after a lengthy battle with several health issues. She was born January 26, 1951, in Passaic, NJ, to the late Douglas E. and Norma C. Martin.
After graduating high school and attending secretarial school, Linda moved from New Jersey to Connecticut with her young family, where she was a stay-at-home mom until her daughters were in school full time. She then worked as a paraprofessional at Lebanon Elementary School for several years. Linda went on to work several administrative positions before her employment as a legal assistant at Robinson & Cole in Hartford for more than twenty-five years. After surviving breast cancer in her late forties, and having two open heart surgeries in her fifties, as well other health issues, Linda retired.
In 2016, Linda purchased a second home in Venice, Florida, where she had vacationed for more than thirty years. She was a part-time resident for three years until she made Venice her permanent home. Linda loved to walk the beach on occasion, looking for shells and shark teeth, as well as to take in the local music scene in Venice and Englewood.
Linda was a member of the Wapping Community Church in South Windsor, Connecticut for many years where she enjoyed visiting homebound parishioners. In Venice, she attended CenterPointe Christian Church, both in person and from her home where she would watch virtually when she was unable to attend.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Carol Tiziani, and son-in-law, Glen, of Colchester, Connecticut, as well as daughter, Alison McCullough Parker and son-in-law John, of Salem, Connecticut, and her sister, Luanne Matarangas and brother-in-law, Peter, of Naples, Florida. She will also be missed by her grandsons, about whom she was so very proud: Matthew Tiziani, and wife, Rachel, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nicholas Tiziani and his partner Natalie, of Tampa, Florida. Linda also leaves her beloved fur baby, Jack, who has been her faithful companion since 2014. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother, Douglas E. Martin Jr., her second husband, Albert Zizzamia, and previous fiancé, Raymond Kranmas.
Private services will be scheduled at a future time. The Neptune Society, Fort Myers, Florida, has been entrusted with arrangements.
