We celebrate the beautiful life of our dear sister, Lisa Ann Body Vukasovic, 62, of Naperville, IL who passed away peacefully on April 10th, 2026. Born on September 26, 1963, she was the beloved daughter of Mary Christine (Martishius) Body and of the late William Daniel Body.
Lisa had unwavering devotion to her three children and dedicated her life to supporting them in all their endeavors, from school to sports to volunteering for many of their extracurricular activities. She built a home full of love, laughter, and positive energy.
A passionate educator, Lisa dedicated over 25 years to shaping young minds as a devoted special needs teacher at Krejci Academy aka Little Friends School, in Naperville, IL. Known for her creativity and patience, Lisa assisted, educated, and encouraged numerous autistic and intellectually and developmentally disabled children throughout her life.
Lisa was a graduate of Seminole High School, in Seminole, Florida, a Graduate of Illinois State University, with a bachelor’s degree in education. Lisa was a competitive swimmer, softball player, a lifeguard and Head swim team coach for many years. She was a parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Church and attended bible study.
Lisa was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, loving aunt, and loyal friend. She loved cooking, baking, throwing and attending eventful parties and holiday family gatherings. Her vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her three children, William John Body Vukasovic, Marianne Vukasovic, Alexandra Ewell nee Vukasovic and Jamie Ewell. Mother, Mary Christine Martishius Body, Sisters, Ann Marie Clausen, Christina Marie Body, and Adored nieces and nephews, Sarah, Emily, Emil, Walter and a community of friends.
A memorial/celebration of life will be held at Features Bar and Grill in Naperville, IL. Date and time to be confirmed and details to follow.
