Lisa E. McBroom Clark was born May 13, 1955, grew up in Salt Lake City, graduated from Skyline High School, and spent her life close to the people she loved most. She passed away peacefully at home, and fittingly, her last words were "I love you."

She was the kind of mom who sat you in her lap and taught you to read with a patience that never ran out. Who answered the door at three in the morning without asking for an explanation and made chocolate chip cookies from scratch because that was the only answer that mattered.

She was funny and wickedly well-read. She cooked the way she loved — without half measures. She had a dark sense of humor and a tenderness underneath it that never quit.

She showed up.

To every field trip, every school event, every moment when a kid looks up hoping to see a familiar face in the crowd. To every graduation — high school, college, law school — when showing up meant getting on a plane and crossing the country and it cost her more than she ever let on. She was Disneyland and sports cards.

She was proud of her family the same way that she loved them — deeply, completely, and without condition.

She is survived by Tom Hansen, her person; her sons, Richard K. Clark (Kyla) and Jascha K. Clark (Candice); and her grandchildren, Brecklyn, Brinley, Caidence, Reece Carter, and Shaelyn.

Graveside services will be held March 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you say something kind to someone, and celebrate with laughter.
