Send Flowers Plant A Tree
Lisa was born and raised in Stockton, California, to John A. and Noemi Davis. She lived a life deeply centered on family, service, humor, and meaningful friendships. Lisa was known for her quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and ability to make others laugh even in the most difficult moments. She believed laughter was essential and used it generously, often lightening a room with a well-timed comment or playful sarcasm.

She was a devoted wife to her husband, Frank Drake, and a loving mother to her children, Dennis (Alison) and Donald (Alyssa), and her stepson, Joshua (Stacy). She was a proud and adoring Nonna to Tristen (20), Adelina (17), Gianna (6), Dominic (4), and Darren (2), each of whom brought her immense joy and purpose. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, John A. and Noemi Davis, and her brothers, Dennis and Richard DaVia. She is survived by her brother, Daniel.

Lisa dedicated her professional life to helping others communicate and thrive - she worked as a speech language pathologist for nearly 40 years. While working for the school districts, she also became a founding owners of Professional Evaluations Development Services (PEDS), leaving a lasting and meaningful impact on countless families and colleagues.

Lisa loved to travel, whether with her family or with her group of girlfriends known as “The Bitches” - one of her favorite places to be was the beach with her toes in her sand.

A rosary will be held in Lisa’s honor at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Linden on Wednesday, January 21, at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 22, at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Linden Lions Club.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Random Acts of Kindness Society (RAKS), a women’s nonprofit organization supporting girls with special needs, of which Lisa was a founding member.

Lisa’s kindness, strength, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
