Lisa Annette (Lawson) Fritz
1962 - 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa (Lawson) Fritz, age 63. She fought an eight year battle against Multiple Myeloma, with courage, grace, and her one-of-a-kind sense of humor. February 25, 2026, in Las Vegas, she lost that hard fought battle. Born on July 3, 1962, in Renton, Washington, she moved with her family to Las Vegas as a baby. She was a graduate of Chaperral High, and began her life long journey as a talented and beloved hairdresser, with a career that spanned decades. Lisa lived a life filled with love, adventure, and compassion that touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. Her work was more than just a profession—it was a way to connect deeply with others. Her clients were not merely patrons; they became cherished friends who stood by her side through life’s challenges. During six years of remission, she embraced life fully, even though she still had pain and side affects from the cancer that she dealt with every day, something wonderful happened. She met the love of her life, Roy McCann. Together, they shared unforgettable adventures and created memories that would last a lifetime. Lisa’s zest for life was unparalleled. She loved exploring new places and seeking out exciting experiences wherever she went. She and Roy went to his beloved home of Ireland, which she loved. Lisa found the most peace and joy in the warmth of the beach and the beauty of the ocean. Her favorite destination was Riviera Maya, south of Cancun—a place where she felt truly connected. It was her heartfelt wish to have her ashes spread along its shores so that she could forever rest in the place she loved most. Beyond her adventurous spirit, Lisa had an extraordinary capacity for giving. She believed deeply in the interconnectedness of all living things and carried this belief into her daily life. Her compassion extended to those in need; she regularly helped the homeless by meeting them where they were—on the streets—and offering haircuts and goodie bags filled with essentials that she kept ready in her car. Her selflessness and radiant energy made her a light to everyone around her. Lisa is survived by her older brother Ron Lawson and his wife Brenda Lawson; nephews Derrick Lawson and Lance Lawson; their children; and Roy McCann, the love of her life. She was predeceased by her mother Linda McKinney Lawson, father Herb Lawson, Uncles, Aunts and cousins and her brother David Lawson. Though Lisa did not follow organized religion, she was deeply spiritual and believed in the profound connection between all living beings within the universe. Her philosophy of unity and kindness guided her actions throughout her life. Lisa’s beauty radiated both inside and out—her passion for life left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her as they honor a remarkable woman who lived fully, gave generously, and inspired endlessly. In accordance with Lisa’s wishes, her ashes will be spread on the beach at Riviera Maya so that she may forever rest in the place that brought her so much joy. In lieu of flowers, her wish was for all to contribute to the International Myeloma Foundation. Myeloma.org
