Lloyd Brooks, 51, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on April 30, 1974, in Harlem, New York, to the late Brenda Louise Haffaney and Lloyd Brooks, Sr. Lloyd brought warmth and joy to those around him throughout his life.
Lloyd is lovingly remembered by his wife, Teresa Caldwell-Brooks of Charlotte, NC; their children, Alyehia Brooks, Avaion Brooks, and Alicstasia Brooks; and his two brothers, Craig Haffaney (resident of Harlem, New York) and Michael Haffaney (resident of Milford, Delaware). Lloyd also leaves behind a host of wonderful nieces and nephews who cherished his presence.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Louise Haffaney; grandmother, Daisey Mae Haffaney (Golfin); and great-grandmother, Gussie Mae Brady (Bennett).
Lloyd had a deep love for storytelling and imagination. He was an avid reader of comic books and found great joy in watching movies featuring his favorite superheroes. Whether enjoying a quiet evening with a book or gathering for a lively family movie night, Lloyd treasured time with loved ones above all else.
His devotion to family and the bonds he nurtured will remain a lasting legacy. Those who knew Lloyd remember the light he brought into every room and the joy he shared so freely.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on December 31, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and a private family viewing on January 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at A.E. Grier & Sons Funeral & Cremation, LLC., 2310 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28206.
