Lois (Jean) Meador Gould, 86, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2026, following a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the family home in Stillwater.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Fabian Catholic Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026 in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, Indiana.

Lois was born February 27, 1940 to the late Russell and Barbara Dawson Meador in Lafayette, Indiana. On June 9, 1962, she married Thomas Marquis Gould at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette, Indiana. They shared more than 63 years of marriage together. Lois graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and later attended Indiana University. In 1971, she and her family moved from West Lafayette, Indiana, to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. For the first sixteen years of marriage, Lois devoted herself to raising her family as a homemaker.

She later began a successful career in real estate, where she quickly found success. In 1983, Lois was honored as Real Estate Associate of the Year for the state of Mississippi. In 1991, Lois founded the sign franchise "SIGNS FIRST" in Hattiesburg, MS, and later expanded the business into Laurel, MS. She retired in 2005 and moved back to her hometown in Lafayette, IN, with her husband, Tom. In 2020, they moved to Stillwater, OK, to be closer to family.

Lois is survived by her husband, Thomas Marquis Gould of Stillwater; two sons, Russell Thomas (Paula) Gould of Carney, Oklahoma, and Philip Montgomery (Lisa) Gould of Ringgold, LA; four grandchildren, Emily Taylor Gould of Carney, OK., Jacob Thomas (Brooks) Gould of Perkins, OK., Dawson Harris Gould of Heber Springs, AR, and Martin Montgomery (Alison) Gould of Ringgold, LA. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Jake Young "JY" Gould and Stevie Grace Gould.
