Lois Anne Miller (Greer), 81, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Cambridge, Maryland. Born on November 29, 1944, in Abingdon, Virginia, Lois lived a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and service to others.

Lois spent her early years in Abingdon and attended Bethel School until 1957. Her family then relocated to Ocala, Florida, where she graduated high school in 1963. She pursued higher education at Jacksonville Community College before continuing her studies at the Medical University of South Carolina. There, she earned her qualifications as a Cytotechnologist—a career that would take her across the globe.

Lois began her professional journey at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, Maryland, where she worked for eight years. Her expertise and adventurous spirit later led her to Saudi Arabia, where she dedicated ten years of her life to advancing medical care. Her work was a testament to her commitment to helping others and making a difference wherever she went.

A woman of deep faith and strong values, Lois was a devoted member of the Baptist church. She was known for her patriotism, compassion, loyalty, faith and unwavering love for those around her. Her kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lois found joy in many pursuits throughout her life. She was an avid tennis player and bowler who also enjoyed playing Bridge and reading. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her family—creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

She is survived by her loving daughters Virginia "Ginny" Whitt and Patricia Jones; her beloved grandchildren Stephanie Loggins, Jenna Whitt, Brittany Hopkins, Hunter Whitt, and Lauren Spies; and her great-grandchildren Rhett Loggins; Braelynn and Zoe Hopkins; and Lila May and Lucy Spies. Lois’s legacy of love and devotion lives on through them.

She was predeceased by her parents Conley Edward Greer and Addie Greer; her brothers Bud Greer, Gene Greer, Blaine Greer, and Red Greer; and her sister Leona Swoap.

Lois will be remembered as a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose presence brought warmth and light into the lives of all who knew her. Her unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
