Lois Anne Tipton, age 69, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025.
Lois was born in Burnsville, North Carolina on January 8, 1956, and was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and sister-in-law.
Lois held a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and received many professional distinctions during her successful IT career spanning 50 years.
Lois retired from the State of North Carolina as a User Support Analyst under the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, providing almost 19 years of dedicated technical computer support at multiple locations throughout Southeastern North Carolina.
She enjoyed helping those in need and, because of her sweet personality, was loved by many. Lois loved listening to music, traveling, attending classic car shows and museums, and working in her garden year-round.
Lois found great fulfillment in caring for others, especially the children whose lives she touched so deeply. She embraced the role of caregiver with grace, patience, and unconditional love.
In later years, she took pleasure with meaningful friendships, personal hobbies, and the joy of watching the children she helped raise grow into adulthood.
Her life was as beautiful as the flowers she loved so well, and her influence will remain in our lives forever and will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
She truly lived with gentle humor, compassion, and a deep appreciation for life's simple joys and her legacy of love and kindness lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
Lois is survived by two brothers, her extended family of friends, the children and grandchildren she lovingly helped raise, along with her closest lifelong friend that remained by her side.
