Lorelei Frances (Kayne) Dordel, 87
June 19, 1938 - December 18, 2025
Lorelei was called home and will be missed immeasurably by her loved ones. She lived a faith-filled life, and her family was her world.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clement and Frances (Sieger) Kayne; her son, baby Johnny; and her life partner of 30 years, John Dinges.
Survived by her brother, Donald (Jan) Kayne; her three daughters, Julie (Doug) Colton, Jan (Scott) Steinbach, and Colleen (Paul) Waraksa; and her grandchildren, Brandon Dordel, Jolene (Ben) Brown, Bradley (Leah) Diekow, Jamie Waraksa, Brittney Waraksa, and Renee Steinbach. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, along with many loving relatives and friends.
Longtime Greendale resident on Berry Court and a 1955 graduate of Greendale High School. She was employed by Wisconsin Bell, paused her career to raise her children, and later retired from U.S. Controls.
She truly enjoyed giving back to her community and volunteered at multiple organizations throughout her life. Lorelei resided at Lincoln Crest for 33 years, where she formed many cherished friendships.
A heartfelt thank you to Kettle Moraine Gardens and Lily Hospice for their extraordinary care and compassion.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
