Lorence Temmeth Harris

Lorence T. Harris, 69, of Hammond, IN, passed away on March 9, 2026. Lorence (Tennie) was born to John Hubbard and Bessie Addison-Hubbard in East Chicago, IN, on July 23rd, 1956. He is preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Addison-Hubbard, his father, John Hubbard, and his brother, John R. Harris. He’s survived by two daughters, Tomeka Harris, of Minneapolis, MN. Aja Harris, of Canton, MS, and son, Sterling Harris, of Hammond, IN. Granddaughters, Elena Wicker of Minneapolis, MN, Jasmain & Jimmy (Dale) Keith, of Florida, and Ira A. Harris of Canton, MS. Grandsons Montravious R. Porter, and Zielyn Z. Harris, six great-grandchildren, and two nieces, Temika Harris of Charlotte, NC, and Natasha Jarrett of Lafayette, IN.
Lorence graduated from Hammond Tech High in Hammond, IN. He served in the US Army and was a proud veteran. In his spare time, he enjoyed grilling, fishing, gardening, watching sci-fi movies, relaxing on Sundays, and spending time with family and friends.
He will be forever remembered. His laughter and love for others will live on in the memories created over the years. Lorence's presence in our lives was a gift.

Memorial Services will be Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00am at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 West 11th Avenue
