It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lorene McLachlan (neé Armenta), who died in her home in Phoenix on February 12, 2026 after bravely facing an extended illness.
Born February 26, 1954 in Phoenix, Arizona and raised in San Jose, California, she later lived and raised her family in nearby Santa Clara before moving back to Phoenix in 2023.
She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, colorful and often hilarious storytelling, and as a vivacious, charismatic personality who loved to make people laugh. She was also creatively talented as a gifted artist in her younger years, an avid salsa dancer and music lover, as well as a skilled seamstress with a lifelong interest in fashion, craft and aesthetic beauty. Those who knew her best knew her for having a fighting spirit, along with a huge heart that loved those dearest to her just as fiercely.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kelly, son-in-law, Nathan, and by her cherished grandson, Oliver, all of Vejle, Denmark; her dear siblings, Mary and Rudy, both of Phoenix; along with extended family and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.
She is now reunited in eternal peace with her siblings Yolanda, Judy, Marcella, George, Tiny (Valentino), Lily, and Isabelle, her beloved nephew Micho (Jesus) and niece Ruby, and her parents Gloria and Nacho (Ignacio).
Those wishing to honor her memory will have the opportunity at a gathering held at a later date.
