With heavy hearts and countless cherished memories, we say goodbye to Lorie—a feisty, loving, selfless, and beautiful woman whose spirit was as unforgettable as her smile. Lorie lived boldly and wholeheartedly, never afraid to speak her mind, stand her ground, or tell you exactly how things ought to be. And somehow, and sometimes much to the chagrin of her children, she always managed to be right.
Of everything she loved in this world, nothing came close to the immense love she felt for youngest daughter, little Jacqui. Jacqui was her heart, her purpose, and her favorite person to brag about. Lorie lit up every time she heard Jacqui’s name, talked about her future, or watched her grow. Loving Jacqui brought out the very best in her.
Lorie also had a playful side that kept life exciting—especially when it came to slot machines. Whether she was chasing a jackpot or just enjoying the thrill of the lights and sounds, she found pure happiness in those moments. Anyone who went to the casino with her knew two things: she had her favorite “lucky machine,” and she always had more fun than anyone else in the room.
She was funny, caring, and tough as nails, yet she had a tenderness that made people feel safe and loved. She’d give her last dollar, her last ounce of strength, her last bit of energy if it meant helping someone she cared about.
Lorie leaves behind the family she loved with all her heart:
• Her devoted husband, Henry Luna Jr.
• Her sons, Edward Daniel Luna and Mark Henry Luna
• Her daughters, Jennifer Luna and Jacqueline Luna
• And her precious grandchildren, Lilia Aurora Luna, Brenda Daniela Luna, and Diego Enrique Luna
She also leaves behind extended family and friends whose lives were forever touched by her honesty, her humor, and her fiercely loving nature.
Lorie’s legacy is one of strength, laughter, truth, and unconditional love. Those who knew her will forever remember her quick wit, her bright presence, and the way she loved—big, profound, and without hesitation.
Though our hearts ache, we carry her with us always. And somewhere out there, we know she’s smiling, standing by her favorite slot machine, and still cheering for little Jacqui every step of the way.
