She is predeceased by her husband, Richard "Dick" Staub in 2003, and her parents, Al and Florence Fien of Irondequoit, NY. She is survived by her son, Matthew, and daughter-in-law, Natalie (Matta) of Waltham, MA and their children, Anthony, Caitlin, and Joseph; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Arnold Stockslsader of Irondequoit, NY, and nieces Anne Marie Stockslader of Rochester, NY, Laura (Stockslader) Danielle of Saratoga, NY, and nephew Andrew Stockslader of Rochester, NY, as well as cousins Vicki (Fien) and Dick Chambers of Nashville, TN, and their family; sister-in-law, Carol Shafer of Charleston, SC; and lifelong friend, Barbara Veomett of Webster, NY.
Laurie was a 1958 graduate of St Agnes High School in Rochester, NY, and married Dick in 1960. They settled in Greece, NY, where she lived until moving to Peabody, MA five years ago to be closer to her son and his family. Dick and Laurie were always ready to help anyone in need. She enjoyed her later working years in retail and interacting with the public. After retirement, she enjoyed visiting her grandchildren in Boston.
The family plans a private memorial and internment at Holy Sepulcre Cemetery in Rochester, NY later this year. In lieu of flowers, they request donations in Laurie's name to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org).
