Fancher, Lori Lynne Rummins

Lori Lynne Rummins Fancher left us for her heavenly home on April 12, 2026 after a year-long brave struggle with pancreatic cancer.

Lori was born April 17, 1963 in Massillon, Ohio, the daughter of Robert Lee and Shirley Ann Rummins. Graduating from Ohio State, Lori moved to Atlanta in 1986 with her life-long friend and Buckeye roommate, and there Lori met her husband Daniel Lee Fancher at First Baptist Atlanta (FBA). They were married in 1990 and enjoyed 36 years of joyful life together.

Lori worked in multiple positions over the years starting in HR at AL Williams. She had a love for and a gift with children. She worked at Walnut Grove Elementary in Gwinnett County and as Director of Preschool for North Point and Gwinnett Community Churches. Co-workers remember Lori for her welcoming and compassionate heart.

She relished numerous, long and endearing friendships. A giver, she devoted much of her life to promoting these special relationships. Her group of Ohio State college friends gathered from across the country for weddings and events throughout the years: her special group of Suwanee Moms were always hosting together and caring for each other and especially for Lori and Dan throughout this past year.

Above all, Lori devoted herself to family. She lovingly cared for her parents over these later years. And she has always been a Gatherer and Cheerleader of the Fancher clan and the Rummins clan. She instilled in her children the importance of family and "showing up".

But Lori was most proud of her four children. She was The Mom. She raised upstanding individuals and was always lovingly guiding them throughout the years on the soccer field sidelines and as they walked down the aisle with their lifetime partners.

And then there were those Grandchildren...Lori enjoyed her three granddaughters and was looking forward to the birth of a grandson later this month. Grammy and Pops insisted on regular sleepovers with the girls which occurred up until Lori became too ill.

God gave us a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, Grammy and friend filled with spirit, encouragement and joy. We have all been truly blessed by her presence in our lives.

Lori is survived by her husband Daniel Lee Fancher; Children: Joshua Daniel Fancher (Alison), Emily Fancher Grimaldi (Michael), AnnMarie Lynn Lemacks (Jacob), Andrew Robert Fancher (Natalie); Grandchildren: Madeline Elizabeth Fancher, Faye Frances Fancher, Molly Ann Fancher and Grandson Fancher due to be born later this month. Lori is also survived by her parents Robert and Shirley Rummins and Brother Eric Lee Rummins (Marilyn). Lori leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Lori leaves her legacy to the care of her large grateful family.

A celebration of Lori's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Gwinnett Church, 300 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Sugar Hill, GA 30518. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Gwinnett Church designated for the "Be Rich" campaign. This supports local charities throughout the community based on a heart of giving as shown in 1 Timothy 6:18.
