Lorraine Estefanita Lobato Farley Sandifer was born in Lumberton, NM on May 12, 1935 and passed away in Sacramento, CA on February 11, 2026 just months from her 91st birthday. She was the eighth of thirteen children born to Tomas Joseph Lobato and Estefanita Valdez Lobato.
After graduating high school Lorraine spent a short time in the closed convent of the Sisters of Mercy in Denver, CO before returning to her family and relocating with them to California. She continued her devout faith until her death. Lorraine worked at Barnes-Hind and then as a caregiver for her elderly clients.
Lorraine married Ken Farley and later Larry Sandifer who both predeceased her.
Lorraine is survived by her youngest sister MaryEllen Lobato Lucero, her daughter Anita Marie Farley, and her son Robert William Farley. “Auntie Lorrie” was the beloved heart of her extended family. Both friends and family are grateful that she touched their lives and leaves them with memories that will never be forgotten.
