Lou Ella Lowe

Lowe, Lou Ella Stone, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Hartland Park Healthcare & Rehabilitation. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on April 29, 1936 to Don and Bessie Stone, both of whom predeceased her. She grew up in Morehead, Kentucky graduating from the Breckinridge Training School in 1954. She married William Lowe in 1956 and they raised four children together in Lexington, Kentucky. Lou Ella was a devout Christian and a member of Gardenside Christian Church. She was kind, compassionate, and giving person to all who knew her. She also never met an animal that she didn't love.

Lou Ella was predeceased by her husband, William, her sister, Jeanette Stone, and brother, David Stone. She is survived by sons, Mark Lowe(Rachel) and Tim Lowe(Daisy), and daughters, Debbie Walker(Gary) and Jennifer Tolliver (Bill). She is also survived by grandchildren, Amie Hieneman(Trey), Amanda Stephens(Jacob), Samuel Tolliver(Emily), Emily Tolliver Williams(Christian), Eric Lowe, Haleigh Reed (Connor), Seth Lowe, Tyson Gay, and Tiffany Everson. Great-Grandchildren include Caleb Stephens, Kinley Stephens, Avery Hieneman, Mallory Hieneman, Rory Tolliver, Lily Tolliver, Haven-Parker Reed, Sophia Reed, and Beckham Reed. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Karen Stone. A private family visitation and service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, with burial in Lexington Cemetery.
