Lucille Friedland, adored daughter of Drs. Micki and the late Gerald Friedland, treasured sister of Jenny and Lenny Tender, beloved aunt of Alyssa, Gabrielle and Lily Tender, and caring cousin and friend, died on December 17, 2025 after a long illness in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lucille was a talented creative professional who devoted her career to the field of communications.

An English and American Literature graduate of Brandeis University Lucille held a Masters degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations from San Jose State University. She began her career in advocacy and activism on behalf of women's rights and later worked as a consultant, coach and creator of websites and marketing materials for a wide range of clients with the goal of "to help create prosperity, health, and well-being for all." She published a 2016 book entitled "You Can Prosper: How to Do More with Less," drawing on broad based research and lessons from her own experience to offer guidance on how to simplify and streamline life in order to enjoy it to the fullest. Lucille was artistically oriented, creating drawings, paintings and sculpture as well as, as a teenager, a meticulously detailed dollhouse.

Lucille was upbeat and resilient, always nurturing family connections, and keeping in close contact with relatives around the world even when she was in poor health. She was eternally curious, courageous and never complained, even when she was clearly suffering. Born in the United Kingdom, she was raised in Winston Salem, North Carolina and Palo Alto California. She valued her Jewish identity and holiday and family traditions. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
